Market research is the first step of any successful marketing initiative. Before you can create a campaign, design creative, or serve an ad, you need to know the size of your industry, who your competition is and where they are already advertising, what’s working (and not working) for them, and how can you use that information to your advantage?

Where is the market headed? What do the trends say for the next year, three years, five years? What amount of market share could you potentially capture in that time?

The marketing plan defines overall strategy, outlines the key objectives and desired outcomes and puts a time frame to them. It evaluates the market research and determines the best channels to utilize to successfully acheive those objectives. The plan includes customer demographics, buyer personas, target markets, and positioning.

The marketing plan also includes a marketing calendar, examples of campaigns and ads for suggested channels, and budget recommendations.

Now it’s time to develop each campaign, including designing the creative, writing the copy, and creating the ads. We don’t just create one ad and expect it to be a success, we create several variations of headlines, copy, calls to action, and creative and test each combination of them to see which performs the best.

Once the campaign is running, we monitor regularly and continally tweak targeting, demographics, ad copy, landing pages, and creative while split-testing each change to ensure our data shows exactly which ads and target demographics perform the absolute best.

We then disable underperforming ads and increase the budgets on the best performers, lowering overall customer acquisition costs and increasing ROI. This is a continuous cycle throughout a campaign, and only ends when the campaign is over.
